Description: The Pelco SC-7 is a sputtercoater unit designed to deposit a continuous conductive metal film on the top surface of the samples. The fixed stage can accommodate up to 12 SEM stubs. The target can be replaced with various 60mm metal (or carbon) discs. A gold target can be provided for a minimal fee. The working distance and the deposition time are adjustable.

Key features:

  • Target available: Gold ($30 per use. Request from a staff member). Users may bring and use their own metal targets.
  • Ionizing gas: Argon
  • Top deposition on fixed stage. Holds up to 12 SEM stubs.
  • Deposition rate: ~2 nm per 25 seconds for Gold

Rates: Internal Academic rate: $20/hour; External Academic rate: $20/hour; Industry rate: $40/hour; Gold target: $30/use
