| Description: Genetix Qbot System 2. The QBot is a high-throughput robotic system for colony picking and library construction. Its capabilities include colony picking from a variety of microbial sources, library gridding/re-arraying, and library replication. With the proper assay and hardware configuration, the Qbot's applications include liquid-to-liquid, liquid-to-agar, agar-to-liquid, and agar-to-agar transfers of single or arrayed samples. Examples of sample types include DNA, RNA, protein, yeast, bacteria, and other cell suspensions. Please schedule an initial appointment with a MSSR supervisor if you are interested in utilizing this platform. The QBot is ideal for constructing knockout libraries, Synthetic Genetic Array (SGA) screening, and replicating libraries of yeast/bacteria in microplates. |
